The Smiling Drummer - Randy started his musical career at 13 playing with a marching band in Burlington, ON Canada. At 15, he began playing the drum set in bands. First touring in 1987 across Ontario and Quebec. Since then, he has founded various tribute acts including Full Moon Fever, a tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers that has headlined festivals and has accompanied symphonies, notably the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2013. In 2007, he participated in a documentary series focusing on tribute bands for E! Channel. Most recently, Randy has explored writing and studio recording. Releasing his first independent EP in 2010. A second EP in 2012 and a full length album in 2015 under the name Sweet James. Along with Full Moon Fever, Randy has collaborated with many notable Toronto-area musicians including Jerome Godboo of the Phantoms and Tony Singh of Punjabi by Nature.
